Three American Heroes Took Down Armed Terrorist On Paris-Bound Train
When Ayoub El-Khazzani emerged from the bathroom without his shirt on and a rifle in his hands, the passengers of a Paris-bound train were put in a very dangerous situation. Reports say that the staff immediately locked themselves in a staff room leaving the passengers to fend for themselves.
But, they didn’t have anything to worry about because on that same train were Air Force airman Spencer Stone and Oregon National Guard member Alek Skarlatos. They didn’t even hesitate! Alek was sitting inside and Spencer was in the aisle. So, Alek yelled, “Go!”
Spencer ran toward the gunman while he was attempting to fire and Alek followed. Two other passengers Anthony Sadler from California and British national Chris Norman jumped in on the rescue and got the guy down. They started beating on him and managed to hog tie him.
Spencer suffered multiple wounds from a box cutter that the gunman used to fight back after his gun was taken from him. As the would be attacker was tied up and on his face, he kept yelling, “Give me my gun back!” Like that was going to happen.
Ayoub El-Khazzani is on a list of suspects who supposedly has ties with extreme Islamist groups. But, a conclusion on where his loyalties actually are hadn’t yet been reached. We obviously know now.
Spencer Stone, Alek Skarlatos, Anthony Sadler and Chris Norman are all getting the rock star treatment. Francois Hollande, the French President, and Manuel Valls, the Prime Minister, have both extended their thanks and have made plans for a meet and greet. The men have all received awards for their bravery and rightfully so, they deserve awards for what they were willing to do when no one else could.
